Distance Education In England

distance education in england
My bf wants to drop out of college…?

My bf lives in England and according to their education system he goes to college.
We’re in a long distance relationship currently. Whenever I talk to him he talks bout dropping
Out of college. I tell him that it’s fine with me but he should make sure he gets some sort of certification and I give him example of the Canadian education system and the options we have after highschool and I tell him he should do something like an apprenticeship or trade work in England or similar options available to him but everytime I talk to him about it he ends up saying just leave it. Now it bothers me because I’m not like trying to force him, I’m just trying to explain to him to make sure to make a smart decision but I don’t think I’m really getting through to him. Does anyone have any idea how I could encourage him to make a smart decision?

I’d leave it alone. He clearly doesn’t want to talk about it and if you push him, you could just make him annoyed and unlikely to listen to your advice. Probably, given time he will think about what you’ve said and bring it up again when he’s thought things through and is ready to talk. In the meantime, think about the reasons he’s given you and try very hard to consider things from his point of view. You have to respect whatever it is that he wants.
